Vivarium is a macOS application. Paying $14.99 buys a perpetual licence to use it on the Macs you personally own or control, including every future version. It is a licence, not a sale of the software itself, and it is not a subscription — there is nothing to cancel and nothing that expires.
Install it, use it, and create wallpapers with it for any purpose, commercial or personal. Wallpapers you make from your own footage are entirely yours; the operator claims no rights in them.
Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the application; reverse-engineer it except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded; or remove or alter its licensing checks.
You are responsible for having the right to use any footage you import. Stock clips reached through the app's Discover and Browse panes come from third-party providers under those providers' own licences, and those licences govern what you may do with the results.

Vivarium draws a window beneath your desktop icons and, in the direct-download build, writes into macOS's wallpaper store and restarts the system wallpaper agent in order to mirror a loop to the lock screen. These are undocumented parts of macOS and may stop working after a system update. The app never modifies your source video files.
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator's total liability arising out of the software is limited to the amount you paid for it. The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost data or lost profits.
Vivarium is an independent product. Apple, macOS and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc., used here only to describe compatibility.
These terms may change for future versions. The version published here at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
